UltraBrowser is a graphical web browser developed by UltraBrowser.com Inc, based upon the Trident layout engine, part of Internet Explorer since IE version 4. The program is lightweight and features an advanced GUI which features various links, channels and search facilities. The latest version of UltraBrowser was released on May 19, 2005. Aside from their self-branded browser, the company also specializes in custom-branded browsers for companies and organizations. One of their most notable clients was Tiscali SpA, in which the two companies signed a contract to produce a Tiscali-branded browser which later became known as Tiscali 10.0, released in 2002.

Space Time

SpaceTime is a free consumer desktop software application than enables searching, shopping and browsing in a 3D environment. It was released in beta form on June 4, 2007 and is currently available for Windows 2000, XP, and Vista systems, with a Mac OS X version planned Space Time developers are currently working to port the product to the OpenGL framework in order to support the Linux and Unix operating systems.

 When using search engines including Google, Google Images, Yahoo!, Yahoo! Image, eBay, and Flickr, SpaceTime loads the first ten results as a stack of pages. SpaceTime is a certified member of the eBay Developers Program.^[

CEO Eddie Bakhash began working on SpaceTime in 1999. The product debuted in beta on June 4 2007. On the day of the release, San Jose Mercury News journalist Dean Takahashi noted that the software was "the most advanced 3-D navigation system I've seen. It doesn't make me dizzy, except with the thoughts of what this could become."

The software's capabilities have been compared to other current browsing and 3D technologies such as in TechCrunch's comment that SpaceTime is "pure eye candy, sort of like Second Life meets Firefox."

Songbird is a free software media player and web browser developed by a group known as Pioneers of the Inevitable (with members who previously developed for both Winamp and the Yahoo! Music Engine), with a stated mission "to incubate Songbird, the first Web player, to catalyze and champion a diverse, open Media Web." As of version 0.7, Songbird cannot record music from CD.

Songbird runs on Mozilla's XULRunner platform, thus capable of running on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Solaris and Linux. On the Windows and Macintosh platforms, Songbird utilizes the VideoLAN Client for media playback. For Linux & Solaris, Songbird utilizes the GStreamer media framework instead of VideoLAN. The Qtrax client is based on Songbird.

Smart Bro is a harmful virus, trojan, and spyware disguised as a tabbed web browser that has been developed by Mind Vision Software. It resembles Internet Explorer, the web browser provided by Microsoft with its operating systems.
Smart Bro has an integrated popup blocker, form filler, a filter to block Flash advertisements, and features a method to stop the loading of images on a website in order to save bandwidth.
The browser provides a way to quickly enable/disable scripts on websites. This can be helpful when visiting some websites which are relying heavily on scripts to provide popup’s and Ads. Disabling scripts on such sites will make them harmless.

The address bar in this browser is being used for entering website address and for entering search criteria as well. SmartBro's official system requirements state that it requires Internet Explorer 5+, suggesting that it is based on the Trident rendering engine.

SlipKnot

SlipKnot was one of the earliest World Wide Web browsers, available to Microsoft Windows users between November 1994 and January 1998. It was created by Peter Brooks of MicroMind, Inc. to provide a fully graphical view of the web for users without a TCP/IP connection to the net. SlipKnot version 1.0 was released on November 22, 1994, approximately 3 weeks before Netscape's Netscape Navigator version 1.0 came out. It was designed to serve a significant fraction of PC/Windows-based Internet users who could not use Mosaic or Netscape at that time. (Internet Explorer was released in the following year after SlipKnot, in August 1995.
SlipKnot version 1.0 was completed and released as shareware in November 1994, thus making it the first purchasable browser on the market. Its name is a play on the term slip knot (a type of knot) against SLIP (Serial Line Internet Protocol) -- an early version of TCP/IP over modem lines -- and not after the fact that, unlike Mosaic and Netscape browser offerings, a SLIP connection was not necessary to view graphical web content.
SlipKnot was given the Best Communications Shareware Program of 1995 Award by Ziff-Davis and was runner-up for the Best Overall Shareware Program of 1995.
By mid-1996 when further development ceased, the majority of home internet users were able to obtain TCP/IP connections that were easy to install, and all new internet software development was dependent upon that protocol.

Maxthon (formerly known as MyIE2) is a China-based freeware (more specifically donateware) web browser for Windows. From its early MyIE2 roots, Maxthon has developed a growing user base, especially in China, and in 2006 it received commercial backing for Maxthon 2.0. It uses the Trident layout engine, just like Microsoft's Internet Explorer, but it can use the Gecko engine used in Mozilla Firefox as well.

Maxthon seeks to provide many rich features and a highly customizable interface, without losing any of the compatibility of Internet Explorer.

In January of 2006, Maxthon developers partnered with Microsoft in its booth at the Consumer Electronics Show.

Maxthon is reported to be the second most popular browser in China,^[ and it has been downloaded more than 140 million times worldwide.

MyIE2 was renamed Maxthon in 2003. It received seed funding from the first Skype investor Morten Lund, and WI Harper Group in 2005. In 2006 Maxthon received further investment from the US-based venture capital firm Charles River Ventures.
